Cracks and Scratches in Wood Trim

Has anyone found a way to cover up scratches and cracks in the wood trim, or is the only way replacing the panels? What products have you used?
If you've replaced the trim, (just a piece, not all of it) where did you get it?

Remember, you aren't taking scratches out of the wood, just out of the coating...at least on an old A6.
I think what I used is light blue and has a number 9 on it. Made the cloudy surface look good again.
