Mostly focused on the interior and didn't do a whole lot of paint work as this was only a $200 job. There was nothing about this car that was clean. The entire car went up in a cloud of dust when I blew out the vents, the original white vinyl headliner was more a dingy shade of grey, underneath the backseat I found a gas receipt from 1987, a shoe covered in mold that hasn't seen daylight in probably ten years, and a 1/4" layer or solid compacted dirt that has probably been accumulating since the car was brand new. Every single crack and crevice was caked with years of grime. Some serious elbow grease went into detailing this car.
Suprisingly, after four hours of heavy cleaners, scothbrite pads and toothbrushes the car actually looked good. The original shine came back to the dashboard. the leather was soft and supple, the carpets didn't have a spot on them. The engine was still running super strong after a heavy degreasing and scrubbing. And i'm confident that if the owner was so inclided I could have even brought the oxidized paint back to life. Really, truly a quality built car. I know, worthless without before/after pictures, but I suprised even myself with this one.

with a car that old...there are nothing left but brittle wires under the hood! Detergents and water are usually bad news in that case.
