Is this what you guys do?
1. Wash car with dawn
2. Use 3m hand glaze (how many layers to you guys apply?)
3. Apply another layer of the 3m?
4. Wash car with non detergent soap
5. Wax with blitz
6. Remove wax
7. Blitz again
8. remove
What do you guys use to remove the wax? The 3m microfiber towel? Thanks

IHG will leave oils and other stuff behind that give you that glossy, wet look. If you wash it again you'll wash that and probably the fillers off. Just wax it right away. I usually only do the IHG once. You wipe it on and buff it off immediately. Don't let it dry, it's a pain to get off when it's dry. You may need to reapply it in some spots depending on how heavily swirled your finish is.
I use microfiber towels from neatitems to remove wax and glaze/polish. Works much better for me than terry towels do. Not sure about the 3M microfiber towels tho.
One other difference as well. Alot of folks will wash with dawn, clay bar the entire car, wash with normal car wash soap, then glaze, wax, etc. Not sure if you're interested in the claying tho since you didn't mention it.

1. Wash car with dawn
I almost never use Dawn, altho I understand why people do. I figure with what comes after the washing, the wax is coming off no matter what.
2. Use 3m hand glaze (how many layers to you guys apply?)
If you're talking about a routine that you do maybe twice a year, I'd use a clay bar first. Unlike some guys who seem to be able to spend an hour or more with just a clay bar, I basically pay attention to the big surfaces, I work fast, and I do it in like 15 minutes. Then I look for any scratches, spots, etc. that look like glaze isn't going to get rid of. On these I use One Grand Special Touch Polish. Then I use One Grand Omega Glaze, but IHG is good too. I don't use it more than once.
3. Apply another layer of the 3m?
See above.
4. Wash car with non detergent soap
If you wash after glazing, I think you're going to remove some of the oils etc. that the glaze has deposited on the paint to make it glossy. I go straight to the wax after glazing.
5. Wax with blitz
6. Remove wax
7. Blitz again
8. remove
I know others are saying to wait some days between coats of wax, but on those occasions when I've done consecutive coats of Blitz (and I don't normally), I haven't waited and I haven't seen any negative results. No clouding or anything. And I've done this on my wife's black wagon, which I think is kind of an acid test for visible problems. But I suppose it can't hurt to wait either.
Have fun!

1. Wash w/ dish soap
2. Clay bar (if needed)
3. Wash car w/ car soap (if clay bared)
4. Finesse-it II, low speed buffer (if needed)
5. IHG, lowest setting on buffer
6. P21S paintwork cleanser, by hand
7. Blitz wax
8. next couple of days another coat of wax
Takes all freaking day...ugh, but look so preeeetttty!

but some additional thoughts.
Use as many layers of 3M IHG as you need to get the pannel looking nice, upt to 3. After 3, successive applications won't due much to improve things as you've loaded on as much fillers as possible. Let it sit for a week and repeat.
I also don't see the need to wash the car again after glazing. I wash, glaze, polish (you didn't have this step, but I'd add P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleaner to your routine; it will really deepen the shine).
Finally, you need to leave at least 24 hours between coats of wax, otherwise, your just pushing it around and wasting wax. So, I would skip the double waxing on the same day.

Detailing Routine
