Does Zaino make a decent clay bar, or should I try to track down Clay Magic?

Default Does Zaino make a decent clay bar, or should I try to track down Clay Magic?

I've used Zaino products for a few years now but haven't clayed in quite some time (my old clay bar was from Mequiar's). If I order a clay bar from Zaino then I can stock up on a few other supplies at the same time. Or am I better off, quality-wise, trying to locate Clay Magic?

Also, on a slightly off-topic note, does anyone have a recommendation for a nice, bright overhead light fixture for a new garage? My basic fluorescent bulbs just aren't cutting it.

Thanks!

Default I haven't tried Zaino clay, but I can recommend Clay Magic.

The 3M Perfect-It Clay, also blue, is also very good. In fact it's hard to tell the difference between it and Clay Magic.

Clay magic sold here.

Default I like it.

I can't really give you a good comparison though. I've used Mothers, and I like that. I've used 3M, and found it a bit stiff to work with, and not quite as good at grabbing contaminents as the Mothers. I've used the Zaino once, and don't really have any complaints. A friend is picking up some Clay Magic for me today. Not sure when I'll have a chance to experiment with that.

My advice, get whatever is locally available. I've found the mothers to be quite good, and many others love clay magic. You'll likely be splitting hairs trying to define perceptible differences.

Default For the lights I bought twin halogens on a tripod at Home Depot.

Can't find the lights searching their website. Seems like I have read flurescents are better for seeing paint defects, I really don't know. Since I do more than detailing the halogens work pretty well for me. They cost around $50 and look pretty much like this :
