Default Is glaze enough???

I have a silver a4 that has not been polished or glazed for a while (at least a year and a half). I was wondering if it would be enough just to go over it with something like IHG and then wax or should I take any more steps before waxing.

Default Last Spring all I did was clay + wax, and it looked great. This fall...

I did clay + glaze (applied using my new P-C 74240) + wax, and it looked fantastic. Last spring I was swearing that glaze wasn't even necessary on metallic silver, but I proved myself wrong. So I think IHG will do fine. Just be sure to put some elbow grease into it to get the fullest benefit. Note: if the paint isn't as smooth as it could be after washing, you might want to clay it before using the glaze.

Default I'm not a claying expert really. Search should yield some good results.

Really, I could feel contamination on my gf's car after only 3 months. The air is just dirty : )

Default Use a car soap/water solution that's twice as strong as you would normally use to wash

the car. ONLY run the claybar over a surface that has been lubricated with car wash soap. If you make multiple passes with the claybar, reapply soap between passes.

Running a claybar over a dry section of paint can and will cause scratches.
