Hi all,
When recently waxing 89 90 Quattro I accidently got some wax on it's plastic black trim that goes around the body. When it dried I noticed it left this pale-white-bleached out look on the black trim (so it looks very odd). I tried using wax remover on it (probably a dumb idea) and it caused the same effect if not worsened the trim more. Is there anything I can purchase / do to get these nasty marks off besides painting over it, or will it just fade off in time as wax eventually does? Many thanks.

Most bug and tar removers are also quite effective. Not sure what kind of "wax remover" you used (never heard of a product marketed as such).

Use the Harly PolyGard if it's interior trim and the ERV if it's exterior.
I bought a FUBA antenna that was used and the black plastic was faded and washed out from the overwax and age. I gave it a shot of ERV and viola'
Just like new!
