I have tried race glaze compound, their highest one, not the most abrasive. Now I just tried Menzerna IP followed by FP using the yellow and white pads respectively. I still have serious scratches all over the car and some good swirls that are not fingernail deep but seem resistant to all of these treatments. Whats next?
Should I go to the wool pad?
I am afraid of wearing down my clearcoat too much although these marks make me insane. As well, I am concerned that it may be the pads, which at some point in the past caused some of the marks. I am going to step up to the nice ones that are 7" over the 6"carrier from Classic Motoring(www.properautocare.com). I am currently using their standard 6" pads on my PC 7424.
Need help!!!!!!!!!!
TIA,
Chris

You sound like you are cursed. Please as succinctly as possible.
Did you wash/replace the pads. Did you wash the hell out of them to get everything off/out of the pads?
You are using yellow(IP)/white(FP) or white/white pads??
Are you washing the car first?
How long are you working the product in a two square foot area? 30 seconds? 2 minutes? 10 minutes?
How are you buffing/removing the products?

1.washing extremely well, of course.
2.clay bar any spots that are necessary.
3.using the yellow pad with FP and white pad for IP, they are super clean, used once before but I will replace with the 7.5" advanced pads from www.properautocare.com
4.have tried working area from 30secs to 2min. I even went back to the race glaze compound for a time being and it didnt get everything out.
5.removing the product with microfiber towel, if necessary with some quick detailer.
whats next? wool pad?
btw, car is white and the scratches can be seen if you look hard in the angle of the light, they are faint but i noticed most of this, including the swirls at night with a flourescent light on in my garage. During the day almost none of this is noticeable.
