Default Yeah, that was the post I was looking for! But I need to know how long they left it on for, and
whether there was any residue left?

Default The 3M painters tape comes in different degrees of stickyness...
A good coat of wax prior to application will make any residues come clean with detail spray.

Default A guy on the Allroad forum would.....
use painter's tape under his car bra and leave it on all winter. According to his posts, he was able to remove it in the spring. I wouldn't go that long myself.
