Default How to remove the really tough "stains" on paint?

Recently traded in my car for a 2002 A6 2.7T, in light blue. To the untrained eye, the paint looks great. But, I'm overly **** and, at the right angle, you can see numerous "marks". I have no idea what they are, maybe from acid rain, or something else that got on the pain and etched into it. I've got a PC random orbit polisher and have tried Menzerna Intensive polish and final polish with the PC, but neither seemed to make any difference. Also tried P21S Paint Cleaner/Polish, which also didn't make any difference. Any other ideas, or is this just something I probably need to get used to?

Default Re: ...

Is that stuff going to work on stuff that the P21S Paintwork cleanser, or even the Menzerna Intensive Polish with the Porter Cable couldn't get off?

Default 1 Grand Special Touch is magic. I have seen it clean a spot Menzerna IP&FP w/PC didn't get.

Just keep rubbing it and clicking your heels. I was amazed. Personally I don't think much of P21S paintwork cleanser and I do tend to like the P21S line of products. In-between Menzerna FP or 3M IHG or 3M IMG and Blitz wax or P21S wax it doesn't seem to do much for my car.

My spot was a cloudy patch about (1.5 inches in diameter) from some bird crap that sat on Europa Mica (dark blue metallic) for about two days.

So why did I let bird crap sit on the Pigboat for two days? I was out and about in Babe the Blue Ox.

Default imho there are other options before wet sand.... i would use that as an absolute last resort (pic)

Default 2nd.

"clay-compound-wet sand" has to be some of the worst advice I've seen offered here in quite some time.
