Default How to remove small bits of rust-Help??

Over the years I have owned many car's and trucks that were white in color. Every vehicle over a small period of time will get these small specs of rust that will not come off. I have tried everything(that I can think of)and nothing affects them. You can sometimes run your fingernail over them and they will "pop" off. I realize that since the vehicle is white that makes them more noticeable. Any of you have this problem and if so what's out there that will break them down so you can remove them?

ultra fine clay and soap ( no lube) so it won't remove ur wax. rub lightly.
