Default So you're saying the solvent ...

could negatively affect or remove the glaze? What do you mean by going straight? Should I go back to the store and pick up the appropriate 1Z polish/glaze to complement my wax?

Default im not a big fan of the

3M IHG... I never got much greatness from it and it was hard to work with. I think it works better in more professional hands. The 3M is just going to have a lot of fillers that may not allow the wax to bond well to the surface. Just my .02

If you have easy access to buy 1Z products I would say buy their polish as well. I have used the green can (med abrasive)and liked it... there is a red can (lite abrasive)version which is also good.

both are mild.

Default cool ... i might return the 3M ... that bich was 20 bucks!

and I'll pick up the 1Z polish ... not sure which abrasiveness to get tho ... my car is brand new, but I do feel some bonded contaminants when I run my fingers over the hood.

Default Joking aside, why not give Zaino a try? Especially if you're interested in trying the wash. (more)

If you buy the wash (Z-7), all you need is ZFX and Z-2, and an applicator.

That would put your total at: $46.35.

Z-8 is optional (but worth it), and would put your total at: $66.30.

Goes on and comes off super easy, and has great longevity.

Just a thought.

Default I agree!

Not that I have anything bad to say about any of them but I keep coming back to Zaino.

Default if you stick with 1Z, you won't have compatability issues....

for a new car, I'd clay it (generous lube or soapy water) and use their Metallic Polish/Wax (red can) then go over with 1 or 2 coats of 1Z Glanz. 1Z's gotten a bit more difficult to locate now, but their products are great.
