If you can't wash too often, and you can't wax too often.....

Let me try to explain. When you use heavy compounds (polishes and cleaners) with a buffer you are removing scratches, oxidation, old wax, etc. To remove these imperfections, you are removing paint/clearcoat. And remember that if you a buffer too aggressively, you can burn through your clearcoat.
Using a buffer speeds up this process. Let's take it down a step. You use a polish/cleaner by hand. Yes, you are removing scratches, oxidation, old wax, etc. Thus, you are removing a very small layer of paint/clearcoat.
The clearcoat is a top coat. Over time, you will run out. Of course, you accelerate this process when you use a buffer.
One other note: Not all polishes/cleaners are created equal. Some are more abrasive than others. This is why you may need a small number of products to remove the imperfections.
Follow the directions on the bottle. Most state that you should use once or twice a year.
Any questions, please email me or call 1-800-964-8711
Sincerely,
Melissa
