Default Just picked up an inline water softner for washes: questions

Picked up a smaller inline filter, not the costly all-be-it Im sure superior system that DD sells, (sorry Phil). I use tons of water for washes, 2 pre-soaks, run the foam gun while washing each panel, tons of rinsing, clean wheel wells etc. Any tips on saving resin / swapping for untreated water or such, I imagine I can just soak the canister in softner potassium after each wash session to renew it?

You could just use it for the final rinse.

I should add that I use about 8 oz of soap for every wash without the softened water

Default Only reason to use resin IMO is final rinse. Deposits are very unlikely during washing

Unless your Meem and want to spend the 400$ a month in resin (another audi car payment for some) to prevent water spots etc..

Default This is a softener, my reason for using has nothing to do with spots

I have very hard well water and use a gallon of soap every month, its a joke how much I use for sub-par cleaning ability. 7 oz of soap wont even stay sudzy through washing 2 semi-dirty wheels.
