Default kid sits on gum in movies....transports it from movie seat to ....

melange leather seat in my A6 2.7t. By the time she got out of the car, it's been spread around the seat. I got off the big globs with a combination of ice and nail polish remover. There are still some bits left that are bluish streaks in the leather. I'll get some leather cleaner today. Any suggestions for how to get the rest of the gum out?

Default Get on highway, open door, throw kid out!

...unless they are related, then you'll have to find a solution that sits well with the family.

On to the gum...I've heard that peanut butter will loosen gum. I think it's the oil in the peanut butter that does this. Get a piece of gum, chew it, stick it on something (not your car!), and try a little vegetable oil. If it works, use the oil in the car, and follow with a leather cleaner, and a leather conditioner.

Default Not an option, it's my 15 yr. old stepdaughter! (m)

Not that it didn't occur to me, but my wife would probably object. On the other hand, she's usually pretty terrific; even worked on the seat for an hour with nail polish remover! Not only that, but she's a 6' tall, California blonde beauty with straight A's and we are counting on her to support us in our declining years! ;-))

Default Thanks! Do you mean like a lemon oil furniture polish and/or ..

something like Pledge? Do I need to worry about staining the leather? Which leather conditioner/cleaner do you recommend for treating it after the gum is gone? Thanks again for your suggestions.

Hmm what color is that? If it's light that might be a problem . . .
