Menzerna FMJ users....can you give your experiences?
Shine, durability, ease of application? How many coats do you usually apply?
I like 1Z Glanz, but it's odor is almost bad enough to use a respirator.
Looking for a bit more pop, but don't want to use several layers. I'll do a full detail on my new 535xi in a couple weeks and want to try something else.
Thanks in advance!

The FMJ is a sealant...
I've found that applying only two coats, 6+ hours apart is effective. Beyond that I prefer to apply two coats of carnauba afterwards.
I suggest if you're looking for "pop", you're going to want to look into using a series of polishes and a glaze for proper paint correction prior to sealants and waxes.

What color is your new Bimmer?
For my light silver Audi I use FMJ
For the Orient Blue Bimmer I use Lusso Oro.
With the FMJ, I've found that the extreme slick feeling is extended as well as the gloss if you use a quick detailer with some wax in it.
FMJ is very, very easy to use.

I apply two coats over two days and get six months of protection.....
through the Central Oregon winters. The Menzerna High Gloss Acrylic Shield spray keeps the shine going. ps I'm taking delivery of a 335xi via European delivery in Munich this next month. Is your 535xi Space Grey Metalic?

Bezor & Bend...it's Space Gray Metallic....
under the hood on the label it's the old Silber-Grau (silver gray).
my last BMW was Silver Gray--this looks more gray, rather than the blue.
it's a fantastic car. i like 1Z Glanz, which lasts forever...but it's vapors are enough to wear a respirator.
thanks!

Gottcha. Well, I'd stick with FMJ for easy gloss. Keep on top of your polishing
to keep swirls down. If you are using FMJ, thats the easy part; preping the car and keeping swirls/maring to a minimum is more time consuming.

thanks...i have a pc and i'll use a polish on both cars
the Audi is in showroom shape, and the BMW just needs a light polish.
i have 1z Paint Polish, but i'm not sure if there's going to be a compatability issue between the two.
i'll pick out a Menzerna polish that I can use on the cars.
thanks!

If you're looking for more "pop", on darker color's, give Menzerna's ............
"kissing cousin", Blackfire a try. I use the Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish as my final glaze/polish before sealing with Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection.
