leveling pad with or without compound or would you go straight to 2000 grit wet sanding followed by the "routine"? I'm thinking leveling pad before attempting to wet-sand, but I dunno.

Default Car was painted poorly. He would take it back to have the shop redo it, but

they're out of business. Shocker.

Default Depends on what is in the drips...

If the drips consist of paint, it would probably need to go to a body shop for repair. Whether that involves sanding, and reclear, or sand, repait and reclear, I don't know.

Now, if the drips are only in the clearcoat, wetsanding will work. Just be sure to put a backing plate on the sandpaper, so you level the "high spots" (drips) until you get down to the level of the surrounding clearcoat.
