Wet Diamond sealant work? Some have suggested going with Menzerna IP then Blackfire polish & sealant but I'm leaning toward the Menzerna pkg with Intesive Polish & Final Polish together, then follow with Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant. Is it OK to use the Menzerna Final Polish followed by the Blackfire Wet Diamond or should I stick with the either Menzerna or Blackfire products for the last two steps for the best results?
These products are covering a silver B6 and a very Dark blue VW Passat B5. The VW needs the IP due to the neglected paint.

and sealed with any wax or sealant. There is nothing left that will inhibit the bonding. Some product lines require a more stringent approach but you are fine here and it a great combination.

Some folks claimed it lasted 30 days and quit (probably bonding issues) other said 60+ days and still others claim more... But if your applying layers every 30 days and claim its lasts 6 months... well you get the idea.
The last wax to touch my car was Blackfire Wet Diamond, a sample gift from Wecoyote and that was applied on Columbus Day, Oct 06.
Do I have strong beading? No. Does the paint still have a level of protection on it? yes, and thats about 90 days. In terms of longevity, Id rate it pretty well.

and I have to take care of my car and my wifes. If I can keep a protectant on there for at least half that time, that would be great. Although, the Blackfire probably has the better shine. I'll try it next time.
Thanx again for the replies. Much appreciated because you need to take a training class before you buy any of this stuff!

...with High Gloss Acrylic Shield (essentially FMJ in a spray bottle). Once every month or two and the great shine will pop all over again.

for the following:
1) Porter Cable 7424 $95.00 @ Ebay
2) 6" Flex Backing Plate $18.95
3) 6.5" CCS-65Y yellow $10.95
4) 6.5" CCS-65R red $10.95
5) 6.5" CCS-65W: white $10.95
6) Menzerna Get Aquainted Offer: IP, FP, pads, appl $29.95
7) Menzerna FMJ $39.95
For a grand total of $239.82 shipping included.
Do you think the PC from Ebay is a good deal? It's the cheapest I've found. Everthing else is comming from ProperAutoCare, but they didn't have a kit with all the pads I wanted. I'm basically skipping on the glaze pad, going strait from Final Polish to FMJ. Does this sound like a good plan?<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=S TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=17007349197 2&rd=1&rd=1">http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=S TRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&

...and properautocare. One of them should be able to hook you up with what you need for your target price. DO NOT just go by what's listed on the site -- give 'em a ring. Tell them your target price and what you need. Most of these outfits are small enough to give you the custom treatment.
Good luck.
