Default Need to treat ClearBra, Bought some product, opinions?

Off and on I have heard to use Plexus on my clear bra to maintain it. Well Phil doesn't sell Plexus and I couldn't find it anywhere locally so I *gasp* stepped into the local PepBoys and picked up some Meguilar's PlastiX. Anyone used this stuff? Think its okay for my clearbra? Similar to Plexus? Thanks in advance!

Default Depends on what brand / kind of clearbra

I have the 8mil 3m scotchgard stuff. I use PO85RD with a megs beige pad to polish and whatever wax / sealant i normally use on the rest of the car.

OTOH, on my lamin-x headlight covers, i hand polish with Klasse and treat with 303 aerospace protectant.

Default plastix contains grit which will scratch your clearbra film. You can order plexus from

www.properautocare.com

be very wary of polishing clearbra with paint polish...bottom line it's a plastic/vinyl... not paint...always use a non-gritty cleaner.

Default properautocare.com sells plexus...>

I was over at dick's autobody last week having a part of my clear bra replaced (it formed a bubble) and they ask the installer what to use and he recommended any of the spray on waxes. You shouldn't have any problem finding that at your local auto parts store.

Default I just wax mine like I do the rest of my car.

My clearbra looks like crap but definitely not any worse than the day I bought the car.

Default Re: Autobahnd Roadblock Clear Mask

Autobahnd Roadblock has installed thousands of clear masks. They recommend Plexus for all protective front end mask. It can be purchased from www.carchamps.com
