Default New Black Audi

My Audi is 2 days old and I'm clueless when it comes to keeping a black car looking it's best. Can anyone recommend how I should maintain it looking new? COnfused after receiving too much advice from friends driving light colored SUV's! Any advice will be appreciated!

Default If the paint is smooth, I would hit it with some P21S GEPC and then a few layers of P21S wax. If

it's a bit rough like mine was when was new, hit it with some ClayMagic first and then follow it up with the two P21S products. Good luck keeping a black car looking nice, it's an uphill battle. =( Also, check out my sig for my detail routine.

Default Don't touch the paint until you read 2k2S4's and Troy H's detailing routines.

Both have a link to them in their sigs (as 2k2S4 pointed out). You can read them and get an understanding of what you'll need to do to take the very best care of your paint, THEN you can decide how far you're willing to go to keep that Black car beautiful.

Default Don't look at your car during sunny days, only at night, this is my best advice.

Black is the worste color if you are a detailing maniac. Rare will be the time you'll see your paint perfect.

Default Congratulations on a great purchase! Black is the best color, but it is the hardest to keep

looking great. Do read those detailing routines below. I think this link is included but if not check out:

http://www.properautocare.com/</a

Default Re: Thanks

Thanks! Great detailed instructions. I can't help but ask myself "what have I done? Why Black?!" It is my favorite color yet, was it worth it.

Thanks again!

How'd you know I'd be this obsessed!2.7dallas? Yes, I've become so obsessed with every speck of dirt that its driving me nuts! I love this color and car yet, does it HAVE TO LOOK THIS DIRTY MOMENTS AFTER DRIVING IT OFF THE LOT. All being said, thanks, I'll try convince myself it's only dirt.

Thanks for the feedback

Default It's worth it for about 10 minutes after you finish detailing. Then you just have to remember that

image until the next time you detail. ;-)
