Default New guy idea - "rain wand" as final rinse tool?

New guy alert - so caveat emptor on this idea.

Reading Troy's guide, I tried the "final rinse with no nozzle" to leverage the sheeting action. Good idea.

But... instead of the hose with no nozzle I tried a "rain wand" (cleaned it off carefully first - may get one just for the car). One of those 30" wands with a 2" or so head with lots of little holes in it that produces a gentle but high volume flow that won't hurt plants.

Good sheeting action with the wand. Hoze and no nozzle was good for the sides and hood, but for the roof, this was more ergonomic (easier to reach the roof). Also easy to control re not hitting the car with it.

Here's a URL for the one we have (don't work for them or own stock or affiliate program - honest...)

I like the final rinse with no nozzle also, works great, but scared to death of an "OOOOPS"

On the roof or over the hood... that's just begging for trouble.

Default For nozzle's, nothing beats Gardena products...I have been using them

on yachts for almost twenty years, they are hardened plastic with volume control, a tab that hold the nozzle on spray w/o hands, easily adjustable flow pattern and quick disconnect hardware so you can change out items quickly.
