been thinking about switching over (to a 7424 vs. manual), but still have a whole unused can of Blitz.

okay, what about IHG? usable w/PC7424, or do I need to switch to IMG?
however, if this menzerna stuff lives up to the hype, might just switch to that, although it doesn't have any fillers (which has it's pluses and minuses).
yeah, I'm being a cheapass, but part of me is trying to justify not forking out for the 7424 (and associated paraphenalia)

IHM applied with the PC7424 is a BITCH to remove, the 7424 dries it too much and you really need to
scrub to get it off. If you aren't using a microfiber towel, God help you. The IMG comes off MUCH easier, but it does leave white residue on the rubber. I follow the IMG with P21S GEPC because it removes any trace of the IMG on rubber. I'm VERY pleased with Menzerna, I'll report in a week or two to let people know how it holds up.

IHG is okay to use with a machine...
but it may dry out quicker than when using IMG. You may end up using a little more product and working smaller sections at a time, since it's drying up quicker.

I apply Blitz with my 7424 all the time. It works great.
Am I loosing some wax in the pad, probably. Is it hard to clean? No, about every 5 months I just throw the pads in a 5 gallon bucket of warm water and wring them with my hands until they are "clean".
I honestly don't understand why people would prefer to apply it by hand. I get it on thin and even. After letting it dry for 30 minutes it buffs off by hand really easy.

I don't like how wax gums up the pad. Also, since the PC obviously can't get to all the parts of
the car and some need to be done by hand, I'd just as soon do the whole car by hand. Also, I take this time to do a final exam of all the paint surfaces. I think you find a lot more going over the paint with a 3" foam pad than with a PC. Since P21S wax goes on so easily, I don't think there is any time advantage to using a buffer, unlike with the IMG/GEPC, where you actually need to use some elbow grease.
