What is the best product to use and method to clean the plexiglass covering the instrument customer without scratching it up? Also, is there any product that can be used to correct minor scratches on black vinyl and plastic parts?
thanks.

Plexiglass covering I use a small amount of windex on a cotton cloth. I usually wipe in a diaginol motion because any scratches are going to be most visible from a 90 degree angle. This way if it does cause any fine scratches your not going to see it looking straight forward.
Back To Black will restore the color in black trim parts. 3M Plastic polish will remove scratches in plastic trim (like the wood trim on the doors). Afterwards I use a small bit of car wax on the plastic to protect it from further scratches (what works for paint works for plastic![Wink](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Lexol vinyl cleaner is probably the best stuff out there. Really any lexol product is good, but I would stay away from armor all, etc and stick with lexol.

Thanks your reply. I agree Lexol has an excellent line, I like their leather care in particular. But now you caught my attention for something else. What do you dislike about Armor All?

but they tend to use alot of silicon in their product. Which I have herd from numerous professional detailers can eventually break down vinyl and rubber. Cause cracking, etc.
I have never seen it first hand, I am guessing it probably takes quite a lot for it to do visable damage.
In general, I like to play it safe and use lexol's water based product instead of silicon.
