Is it possible to clay bar too much?
I just washed my car over the weekend and noticed the paint felt mildly rough/oxidized despite recently being detailed a little over 1 month ago (clay barred, Menzerna Intensive Polish in spots, Menzerna final polish, GEPC, and two coats of 1Grand Blitz).
I clayed the hood, roof, and deck lid before applying a good good coating of 1Grand Blitz wax. Will clay barring too often affect the paint? I park indoors for the most part, use a CA car duster, and QDW any bird **** or tree sap right away.
Now that I think of it, did my wax wear off too soon, or is this normal?

You do need to use QD
But be sure you are using a quality MF towel. Soak the debris with QD and LIGHTLY wipe off in a directional scooping motion. Never circles.
I use QD on a dusty car all the time. Success depends on having plenty of lubrication, a good towel, wiping lightly and using clean sections of the towel as you go along.
Sure, you have to use good judgement, you can't scrape off mud or anything!
And if you do use a duster beforehand, so much the better.
