Well, lesson learned. Wonder if I could treat the glass with some Plexus now :-)
or is that just for plastic?

I had a similar problem......
with tiny scratches I caused with a too-abrasive sponge. I tried glass polish and even rubbing compound on a PC. The results were mediocre at best and certainly not worth the effort.
I ended up throwing windshield wax on it and trying to forget about it.
