Question about the Jumbo Waffle Weave Drying Towel
I have the "Uber" Jumbo Waffle Weave Drying Towel. I used it to dry my car today after I washed it. Is this towel to be used like a shammy or for something else?
I noticed it left behind water streaks. It was dark by the time I was done, but I could see the streaks in the light from the porch. I'll check it again in the morning and use detail spray to get rid of the streaks. I tried to wring it out, but it wasn't wet enough.

Did you fold the towel up into a smaller towel? If so dont do that.
I place the towel fully open at the top of the hood and then drag it slowely down and it sops up all the water. Do the same with the other larger panels. Just be careful doing the sides so the towel doesnt touch the ground. I fold towel in half for the sides.
Also, you should sheet the water on the car before drying. Remove the pistol sprayer from hose and just let free running water hit the car and then the water sheets off and you have much less water to dry.

I left the towel open
And like you mentioned, I made sure it didn't touch the ground when drying the sides. Maybe the streaks were from me going back to a spot that was dry, but there were drips that I went over.......

No, it just sounded that way. What did you do to remove the bulk of the water prior to
using the towel? Did you use a water blade, a blower or the sheeting method? If you're trying to dry a car covered in standing water, you're going to be frustrated. You need to get it mostly dry by some other method prior to using the towel.

I didn't kow I had to dry before I dry....
If I have to use a separate drying method (sheeting, blower, blade) to pre-dry the car if you will, then I just assume use my synthetic Absorber shammy. I never had a problem with my shammy. Just a warm bucket of water and I'm good to go. No streaks at all.
Maybe the towel is better for the drips and harder to reach spots.....
