Driving back from San Francisco to Central Oregon yesterday, I got blasted by road cinders as I was attemting to pass two semi trucks in a passing lane when the second truck pulled into the left lane right in front of me in an attempt to pass the first. Of course he used up the entire passing lane to accomplish his pass leaving me once again behind two cinder and mud throwing trucks. I'm almost afraid to wash my car and see the damage.
I had to vent my anger because my wife doesn't understand why I get so upset about a few "dings"

#4...lava rocks are ground up (ie cinders in the Pacific North West) and spread on snow for traction. We don't use salt in this part of the country. The "cinders" when kicked up by trucks chip paint, crack windshields... all around bad for a car finish.
