I have a couple of different products around the house and need to know if they are safe to use on my leather seats in my 2001 TT Coupe (black interior):
1) Cavo Original Leather Care "cleans and conditions" - this came with the leather sofa I recently purchased. Label says "safe for use on smooth upholstery leather. Made with pure vegetable soap, lanoline, natural oils."
2) Leather Lotion from Wilson's Leather - this came from a leather shop and I use it on a leather jacket I have. Label: "cleans polish and preserve all fine, smooth and grained leather."
I'm not opposed to purchasing a leather care product specifically for automotive use if these products should not be used. Thanks for your advice.

Step 1 being a cleaner that is safe for leather, and Step 2 being a conditioner. Either of the products you mentioned above may be perfectly fine for light cleaning, however if you don't see satisfactory results, I would purchase a leather cleaner, and follow up with either of your existing products to condition.
One thing is for certain, as long as your products were designed for leather, you can use them on the leather in your car. If you are unsatisfied, then look elsewhere for something better. I wouldn't really go out looking for more products otherwise.
