against it? I have and just a few weeks ago. It got rid of some medium scratches and lessened some deeper ones quite a bit leaving the clear coat quite intact. I am very comfortable with that product. I even used it on my wife's Lexus which has softer paint than Audi and had no issues with fine scratches.

However, on a dark car, it's aparent that while it get's out the medium to big scratch, it's abrasive enough to leave little scratches in their wake, which then requires you to buff those out. What I was saying is that Fine Cut Cleaner by Meguiars is as aggressive as I personally will go, and I was comparing the scratches I see this product leaves to what would undoubtedly be worse with Rubbing Compound. That's why I suggested that anyone trying this experiment first in a spot that is not visible, like the underside of the trunk lid.
