On dark surfaces; dash, seating, door armrests, etc... I've finally figured out that my (fair skinned) wife is the one responsible for annoying white marks (fades) in random places throughout our cars. Previously, the marks were relatively minor (audis), but seem to be worse in the newest (xc90).

So, anyone else seen it, and more importantly...any ideas? From what I know about the absorbancy qualities of zinc and other chemicals in UV/UA 'barriers' I thinking there's no solution outside re-staining somehow.

he mentioned a sealing product that is applied over the conditioner I think? That may not fix your car, but it may prevent further staining from occuring. Call up detailersdomain and ask.

Yesterday sunscreen was sprayed on the passenger dashboard. It immediately turned the black dash all white. After trying a variety of cleaners I found a remedy. The product is called "LA's Totally Awesome", its one of those As Seen on TV but I found it at the Dollar store a few years back. White spray marks are now gone.

FYI it also works great on the filth that accumlates on top of the refridgerator.
