Default TedK, Raj, question..IHG before Swirl Mark Remover?

and also, when do you use GEPC and/or Swirl Mark Remover. I'm assuming you can only use either one but not sure though. Thanks

No, IHG follows SMR, as it has no abrasives while SMR does.

Actually, what boscoj meant to say was that his feeling is #3 followed by #9 followed by #7. 8-)

Default I don't see any benefit to using IHG, if Swirl Mark Remover is used.

I would do SMR (if it is called for), followed by GEPC, and finally wax.

The Swirl Mark Remover is called for when you have swirls or scratches in your paint that you want to work out. It has very fine abrasives in it. The GEPC can be used periodically, prior to waxing. It adds a nice deep rich luster to the paint. It's ideal when the paint is already in good condition, and just needs a nice coat of wax. If you're layering wax (for instance prepping the car for the winter), only use GEPC before the first layer, since it will strip previous layers of wax.

Default I use IHG first, then GEPC. I haven't used swirl remover yet...

I also have the car polished by a pro for $150 once annually to remove whatever scratchs I can't get out using IHG and GEPC.
