Are there any issues with Rain-X on windsheilds after having used a Claybar on it?

But here you said, "glass treated with rainx or castrol is safer in the rain..."
So, which is it? You're an unsafe driver or simply speaking out of both sides of your mouth?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/detail/msgs/14788.phtml">Here</a></li></ul>

You've got to pick a naming convention and stick to it. In one post you
want to use ArmorAll as a generic name for all vinyl dressings, but in this post you want to differentiate between Rain-X and Accuvision? Come on, if you're going to talk in circles, at the very least be consistent.

I think the difference must be that rain-x and similar lay down a much thicker film than clay...
...which then degrades and causes the smearing and streaking that I'm talking about. My own experience taught me that this was not the way to go. If clay is laying down a layer of silicone like you say (or is it silicon?), it must not only be very thin, it must be very durable as well, since streaking is pretty much a thing of the past on my two cars.

you are correct, it is very durable and very thin. and ...
the rainx product is also very durable. because most folks apply it too heavily, don't strip the glass before application, and fail to buff it enough, some of the product vehicle remains, and accounts for the "residue" that remains. if the layer was made thin enough it would give better results. the folks who like it usually apply a very small amount and wipe the dickens out of it..
