I used Meguiar's Endurance Gel...the stuff is great, and lasts for weeks, without spraying onto the body panels. Problem is, it wants to stay on my wash mitt for weeks too! I tried a citrus based cleaner, laundry detergent, and car wash soap (which obviously did nothing). I'm going to try some straight up Simple Green next. What are you guys doing? If I can't find a better way to deal with this stuff, I may just swear off tire dressing products.

Or cut up an old sponge...no need to use a mitt
Plus you'll get a better application with a sponge (using less gel) and if you want them to look ricey gloss, just go over them when you done with damp sponge and gently wipe.

I'm not talking about applying...I'm talking about removing...
I have a curved applicator that I used to apply, and I just reuse it. That's fine...it's when I wash the wheels, the stuff gets all over the place, and won't come off my cleaning supplies! Yuk!

Raj ..
Buy a new mitt for washing your car. I seriously doubt you'll get that junk out of your mitt. I'd safely say that wash mitt is contaminated. Go to Griotsgarage and order item 11838 - finger detail mitts for $6.95 (you get 2). Just slip this finger mitt on, place a little gel on the mitt and wipe away. These things last and last. Simple and effective ...

ArmourAll Tire Shine product
Why not just use the ArmourAll product? Spray it on, no wipe necessary. Dries in about 5-10 minutes. Seems like a good product to me, unless someone can advise me a reason to use something else?

Armor All Tire Shine is a liquid silicone dressing...
generally most "detail fanatics" stay away from Armour All. I have included a link that gives many specifics regarding the benefits of water-based vs. liquid silicone dressings.
Two good choices are Vinylex or 303 Aerospace Protectant.

http://www.autopia-carcare.com/ulwheelcargu.html</a
