Default Vinylex Question

So, I'm running out of One Grand ERV (which I use for my tires), and I have about a gallon of Lexol Vinylex, so I figured that I would use the Vinylex on my tires as well as my interior. But just to make sure, I go to the website (link below) and find this...

"VINYLEX contains a unique patented composition of silicone and organo-functional silicone specifically designed to provide the desired performance and appearance along with special emulsifiers that cause the formula to break on application. This release (break) on application contributes to the performance of the composition and facilitates the proper distribution of VINYLEX ingredients."

Now, I always thought that silicone was a NO-NO for tires because it degrades the tire and causes it to turn brown. Is the silicone in vinylex something special, or should I be worried about it? Should I be worried about my interior too?

thanks guys<ul><li><a href="http://www.lexol.com/moreinfo.html#VIN">From lexol website</a></li></ul>

Default I wouldn't worry about Lexol in that respect...

but try it on a small area of the interior. I find it leaves the surfacy too glossy for my tastes. Even if I cut with water, and buff with a damp towel, I still don't like the look. You also may need more than one application the first time to eliminate streaks, etc....esp if you're cutting with water.

Default I would use it but only watered down to 3 parts water and 1 part Vinylex

I only would want the plastics to look healthy in the inside but never shiny. there are silicones in 98% of the vinyl/tire dressings out there, they may be called something else but in the end its usually some form of silicone so dont worry and go on and use. Try it on 1 tire, worst case the browning always cleans off

Default does the browning always clean off though?

my friend mutilated his tires with amor-all tire something or other (loaded with silicone) and he can't get the tires to stop looking brown now matter what he does

Default Something as harsh as Bleech Wite will clean it.

I would make sure to keep it off the rim though and not use it all the time of course.
