Is washing, claybaring, polishing, then waxing to much for the paint all in one weekend?

no, don't worry, you won't rub the paint off the car : ^ )
just use a good brand, apply with a decent applicator like microfiber, and use microfiber cloths to buff. It'll look grrrreat.

might be too much for you, make sure you give yourself enough time
with frequent breaks because it can be a fairly long and tedious process depending on how much you work each panel. I did the full routine two weeks ago and it took me 15hrs spread over two days.
