Default wear and tear on windshields, would glass polish make it new again?

i bought a windshield from a yard for $50 to replace my old cracked unit. the replacement sat in the yard for quite some time but there are no cracks and damage on it. however it looks a bit fuzzy with direct light.

any recommendations?

Default hard to say without physically seeing it, but it could be pitted or just dirty

If its pitted, its screwed.

assume its not. clean it up with soap and water and clay the crap out of it. Get as much crap off of it if as you can. Then hit it with a quality Glass Polish i.e. Autoglym or 1Z- Both awesome and easy to use.

If you have a PC and can apply the polish like that all the better. If it not on the vehicle yet, you could do both sides, which would be great.

I've found the inside of the glass to be the most troublesome since you cant really get good leverage to scrub and its always very finicky. Do you best to clean both sides well and see where you're at.

Default

2nd, autoglym with the pc works great. It's amazing how much embedded dirt it removes.

Default pitted like wiper scratches? or rock damage / acid rain?

i don't think i have any impact damage, just minor scratches.

My windshield is pretty beat up, but I'd gladly pay $50 for a windshield of a $500 car lol.

if it is scratched, is there anything to heavily polish the glass?
