Default I've been using Meguiar's Gold Class

It's what I used prior to getting a foam gun and has performed well since. Plenty of suds.

Default does it stick to car for a few min or does it run off quickly? Adam's Car wash seems to foam up but

quickly runs off car. Perhaps my ratio is off, do u use a certain water\soap ratio you like?

Default In part it's going to be a function of how "slick" the car is

A car waxed yesterday will be different than a car waxed five weeks ago. Also will depend on how dirty the car is. Ideally, I want the foam to stay on long enough to loosen dirt but then run off taking the dirt with it. When I put mitt to car I want (while foaming with my other hand) most of the dirt gone from the initial foam walk around.

Default sorry I wasn't clear

I do a spray-down of the entire car with the foam gun on a hose. Then I put the washmitt on my right hand, foam gun in the left, and wash the entire car foaming a panel immediately following up with the mitt with periodic stops to rinse out the mitt in a bucket of clear water. Hope this helps. I seem to stay fairly swirl free between semi-annual polishes.
