Default what to use to clean dashboard and other interior panels?

i'm nervous about using one of those "car-wipes" for the interior. some of them say all-purpose or safe on plastic but the dashboard isn't really plastic right?

suggestions?
thanks!

Default When we say "clean the interior"

we usually just mean dust. Unless you regularly drive through mud puddles at high speed with all the windows open.

For dusting, a damp cloth or a Swiffer do just fine. Just LAY OFF THE CLEAR PLASTIC OVER THE IP! It scratches just by looking at it wrong, so don't even bother with it. Use a product like Vinylex every few months on plastic/vinyl surfaces and take out the floor mats and smack them against a pole to remove grit.

Default For cleaning, all I use is a damp microfiber cloth.

Once a year or so I'll spritz the cloth with some diluted Vinylex, or some Harly Polygard, and wipe the dash down with that to freshen up the appearance. But otherwise just a damp cloth. For removing dust, which I do much more frequently, I use a Swiffer type cloth, and always keep one of those in the car for that purpose.

clean as in "condition"? If so, Harly Poly Guard is great.
