What's the best price you've seen for a Porter-Cable 7424? P-C users, please read.

FUG! Price just went up at that site ($5 more now)!
Now they're getting $114.95, before $10 mfr's rebate. So it's $5 more than before. Theoretically that rebate should be available everywhere. Theoretically.

I just got an e-mail from them (I ordered yesterday at the $99.95 price)
Here's what I got from them a few minutes ago. I cancelled the order; I don't like their practices. If they made the typo, that's their problem, not mine. I'm going to order from Coastal Tool instead.

Ooooh...I misread the listing. It's $114.95 now *after* the rebate. So that's $15 more, not 5.
I don't blame you for cancelling your order. I agree, they should honor the price that was listed yesterday, since that's what you ordered. Coastal is the same price, but at least they aren't playing games.

He's talking about the plate the screws onto the machine.
I bought a velcro backing plate for mine. No wrench necessary to swap pads, just peel back one velcro pad and stick on another to the backing plate. That backing plate was not included with the 7424, I paid about $17 for it from carcareonline.com. My PC came with only one white foam pad that screwed directly onto the PC.
