Well, the wheels on which I applied WheelWax have stayed noticeably cleaner than the other side, though admittedly that wax was already almost a month old when I got my WheelWax, so I decided to WheelWax them this past week. After washing and drying the car, I still had some spots on the wheels. I applied WheelWax liberally to the wheels and let it dry for 8 hours while detailing the behemoth F350 I had in. Once done with that chore, I removed the WheelWax from my car. The smaller spots were completely gone and the larger ones were reduced greatly. The shine is also better on the side that now has two coats of WheelWax than it is on the single-coated side.
There you go, AWDF. Longevity of WheelWax yet to be determined.

(repolymerized brake dust?) had a notable impact? If that is true, then a second application would likely remove everything, no?

We have found that two coats are better than one for building up an antistatic barrier. Also it doesn't matter how long you leave WheelWax on your wheels, we have tour bus owners who leave it on for months and wipe and go.
Glad it worked on the spots, we have found that if some of the spot moves the rest will follow. Thanks again.
