Windshield wiper smear
My wiper leave a lot of smear on the windshield when I use them under the rain. I have almost new BOSCH wiper blades. Somebody told me that the smear happens because I bring my car to automatic car wash and the wax on the windshield mixes up with water. Is it true? Is there a good way to deal with this problem?
Thanks

Use a clay bar on the windshield after regular washing...then use a good spray to keep it clean.
You'll be surprised how much stuff comes off glass that you thought was clean when you use a clay bar on it. I use Eagle 20/20 for regular cleaning between washes. Others here really like Eimann Fabrik glass cleaner.
A year or so ago Audi and VW were giving away a free "windshield care kit" that consisted of a 3M Perfect-It clay bar and some 3M gloss enhancer spray to use as lube. That's how I first learned about using clay bar on glass. I suggest using the clay bar, but don't use a detailing spray as the lube. Instead just use soapy water and rinse thoroughly. No residue that way. Since I started doing the clay bar routine the water just beads right up on the glass, and there's no streaking at all from the wipers.
Also, don't overlook the possibility that the wiper blades could have some gunk on them that's contributing to the streaking. Even though they're relatively new, clean them well when you wash the car.

question about cleaning the wipers
I usually use rubbing alcohol on a towel until it is mostly clean (ie not much residue on towel) and then do a few passes with 20/20. Anything else I can try? I already clay the windshield and in the heavy rain today it was beading as well as
