Default Winter detail (no 56k)

This is our 1/2 DD split between My Audi S4. But we have been driving the EVO more....

The car is a 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8, 40kmi, purchased Aug 05 with 6miles.

Anyway, hasn't been washed in 3 weeks, hasn't been waxed in 3 months (was in the body shop due to a break in). It was filthy!, I mean, it was embarrassing! The pics do not do it justice. The bad part is, we have been getting rain just about every day for the past 2 moths. Our commute is 35miles one way.

Conditions, light rain & sun, about 38 deg.

Before pics.....

2 stage filter & softened water

After wash & light clay
There was hardly anything in the paint, so I used the mild Griot's clay

I spent about 3hrs on it, & just did a general wipe down on the interior. On the 1-10 scale on my detailing meter, 10 being Concours clean, this was a 6. As I said, the main purpose was to clean the paint, & put on some sealant, not to get it 100%, but I'm happy with my basically one step.

Next time, I'll try & get the swirl mark shots, & get better after. I know the V is missing on the rear trunk, it was damaged in the break in, & I haven't ordered the $80 UK badge yet.

Default Very nicely done! Made that yellow really pop!

I'm 'experimenting' with the 1z Glanz now. I have it on a 1/3 of a car to see how it performs.

What are your impressions of it?
