I just came back from two auto upholstery stores to find out about replacing the outer piece of the driver's seat and the covering on the armrest. It's turning out to be more difficult than I expected because it seems impossible to match the color and the grain of the factory leatherette. The samples all seemed to be based on either Japanese cars, or on BMW and Mercedes - nothing specific to Audi.

Has anyone had luck matching replacement leatherette to the factory leatherette?
