Default correct, although I haven't tried it, the 3M IHG will clean the surface of the paint...

it will remove old wax, but may or may not strip existing Zaino product, and it will leave a layer of stuff behind (which was designed to give the paint a wet look and hide the swirls). I wouldn't use this.

In the absence of a paint polish like Menzerna Final Polish, I would temporarily use a solvent like 3M Adhesive Remover to strip the paint of any wax or Zaino product. Work on a test panel, clay bar it, strip the paint clean with solvent, give it another wash and dry just in case the solvent left something behind, then apply the Zaino according to directions and see if you get better results.
