Audi A4 2007 Brake Fluid Problem
I attempted to change the front brakes on my g.f's a4 yesterday. The first side was completed with no problems. When attempting to push back the piston, something was done incorrectly, and a lot of brake fluid began to pour out from the little rubber nipple which I had removed. Not just from there, but fluid was being let out from random places from around the middle of the rotor. The car sat there until today, and when attempting to start the car, the brake light was on, the the reservoir was empty.
I poured in about ten oz. of brake fluid. While the car was turned off, I pumped the brakes twice, and by the third pump, they get solid hard. As soon as I turned the car on, they completely let lose again. When I press down on the brake, it would suck the fluid in, but when I let go, it would rise back up.
My g.f needs to take her to work tomorrow morning, and I desperately need to find out the quickest solution to my problem. I thank you in advance for all your help.

Sounds like you have a leak either at the bleed valve or perhaps at the connection of the brake line to the caliper? I suggest taking the caliper off the rotor and see if you can pinpoint the source of the leak. Perhaps while changing the pads you let the caliper dangle by the brake line, which could have broken the line. Let us know what you find...

Hello,
Take your vehicle elsewhere and explain to them what happened. As for the mixing of fluids, its not a good thing, but you can flush the system and shouldn't have any lasting issues.
