have a set of these on the front of my 98.5 A4. Lately, I have been feeling a wooble (warped?) when coming to a stop or braking at low speed.
Can these rotors be turned? The local brake shop said that they do not have the equipment to do them.

The problem will probably quickly return after turning the rotors. In the short term, it's the mass of the rotor that absorbs heat. Turning them removes metal/mass and makes them more susceptable to overheating and warpng in the future.
When did you first notice the wobbling/pulsing? Have you had the wheels off recently? Sometimes the rotor warps if the lugnuts are poorly torqued.
Have you recently tracked the car or otherwise overheated the brakes? Overheating the pads can leave deposits on the rotor that make it feel like it's warped. The pad deposits visible at 7:00 felt just like a warped rotor until they wore away. Also take a look at this Stoptech Whitepaper.
