Default Rotors seized on hub

I'm new here and just posted an item in the wrong part of the forum, so please bear with me until I find my way around.

I am installing new front rotors on my 90 and can't get the originals off. After removing the calipers, is there anything else holding the rotor on the hub?

I've soaked them with penetrating solvent and tried tapping with a mallet but they won't come off.

Default Do not tap with a mallet.

Sorry, but you need to hit it hard with a bmf hammer. There are even more drastic methods available, but try this first.

Since it's common for the rotors to rust to the hups, absolutely do apply high temp anti-sieze to the hub when installing your new rotors, and this won't be a problem in the future. Kinda makes you wonder why Audi doesn't use anti-sieze.

Default Check for bolt holes in the rotor (to the hub).

Turn the correct sized bolts in there, tightening each one a little at a time, and the rotor should come off.

^^^ Instead, kick with a steel-toe'd boot.
