Default Rusted Rotors and Grinding Brakes

I'm certain that I'm not the first to present this problem, if that's even what it is, but I'm not having any luck finding a discussion of it in these forums. I noticed that my rotors were a bright orange this morning, and sure enough, my brakes were grinding at low speeds. My car (2006 A4) has only 23,000 miles, although we drive it in the snowy/wet northeast and park it on the street, so some amount of rust is inevitable. Is this something to be concerned about, or will this rust get shaken off after I've driven a few miles and applied the brakes? If it is in fact a problem, does anyone know what the Audi warranty will/will not cover? And finally, if anyone in the NY/NJ/CT area can recommend a reliable dealer, I'm all ears. Bought this car from Zumbach (now dba "Manhattan Audi"), and can't say enough bad things about the way they do business. Many thanks!

Default The rust is completely normal, and as you said ...

It wears off quickly after the car is driven a few miles, and the brakes applied.
