Default Shuttering, pulsating, chattering

I drive a 2001 S8 with 62,000 miles. For the past several weeks when I apply the brakes, the braking effort ("de-celeration") feels as though it is pulsing rapidly. Most noticeable from 70 to 60 mph; however, it is noticeable at lower speeds also. My auto guru says warped rotors??? But I wonder if it is not ABS related??? It is more than "vibration" through the steering wheel and brake pedal; passengers notice it also. Comments and advice please.

Last week I did the old self adjusting brake adjustment of applying the brakes hard when in moderate speed in reverse. It helped a noticeably; but still not what I'm comfortable with.

Thank you

sounds like pad deposits on the rotors or warped rotors.
