Default VERY uneven Porterfield pad wear at the track on my RS 6...

At my last DE I used Porterfield R-4 "Full Race Compound" pads for my RS 6 and experienced horribly uneven pad wear within the same caliper. For those of you unfamiliar with the RS 6 caliper, each caliper takes 4 pads, 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom, configured thusly:

Essentially, I went through ~57% of the pad material on the top pair of pads and 3% on the bottom pair. The uneven wear was consistent on both the left and right caliper.

Picture below indicates the remaining pad material:

Note, last season I was running Pagid RS 15 Grey material on the track and did not experience the uneven wear, nor do the stock pads exhibit it.

Any insights, ideas what's going on here?

Default I'm surprised the wear is that different, but ...

The top pads do run hotter. The rotor gets pre-heated by the bottom pads and then the hot section rotates under the top pads. [All of which I'm sure you knew.]

I had a set of Pagid Blue pads almost completely evaporate in one 30 minute track session. When I hit some magic temperature, the pad just disappeared. With your Porterfields, perhaps the lower pads run below a similar "magic temperature"; and the top pads, above.

Default if you are still using....

the stock fluid you need to change it. The fluid is cooler on top so it reacts better than the bottom which is hotter and compresses more.

Guess it's back to Pagid RS 15's. I really want to get rid of these calipers and small pads soon.
