Are the amber turn signals in the tail lights enabled in Canada? In the US they're disabled and I'm trying to figure out how to enable them.
Thanks

In the outside tail light assembly attached to the rear quarter panel, there's a smokey lense below the LEDs. If you look in bright light, one can see the amber reflection in there -- at least in the 2006 US models.
I verified this with my salesman and he sent me to AudiWorld to see if anyone had yet figured out, a work around to enable them.
This is a similar situation to the older 2000 A6 and the rear foglamps. The US only permitted one rear foglamp but an enterprising gadgetteer figured out how to enable the second rear foglamp. (See link for article)
If this piques your interest, too, and you learn of anything in regard to this, please let me know. Because the cable assembly to the rear lights is so neat and compact, I'm hoping it might just be as easy as plugging in a fuse to one of the "not used" spots.
Thanks a lot for responding! -- Dave<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext20.shtml">https://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext20.shtml</a</li></ul>

1. one check if the connector that leads to tailight is all full could not wire up but I doubt it..
2. the last option is to activate it by VAGCOM, it's like new VW/AUDI now a days you can change how they light up..
I don't have code procedure for that but I will find out

Thanks! Here's a response I just received from my post on the A6 Forum from svail50:
"I have had mine for almost 1 year now-- Discovered same amber bulbs... but after a couple of inquires..it appears that you CANNOT activate these(via VAG change) --(EURO MODE ??) without changing or disrupting some other key US elements ??
I agree --it would be nice to have the amber turn lights active -- Good Luck"
Prove him partly wrong, eh? Thanks -- Dave

Yea, on the quater panel light section, the thin dark rectangle at the same level as the reverse light is where the US models have an amber light behind the smoky lense.
I've had a couple of other responses concerning the VAG. One guy looked into it but learned that in the process of enabling the amber turn signal, other US requirements are disabled... Another guy is also looking into the VAG, too.
Thanks! -- Dave

well you can always try to active it, and you can always go back if you don't like what it does, maybe he is paranoia about coding, you can ask your friendly dealer for help..
